Embracing Change: Leaving the Corporate Machine for Choose Your Own Adventure
After 25 years in an IT Operations career, I’ve finally decided to bid farewell to my corporate job. Come Friday, March 15 (that’s tomorrow!), I’ll be stepping into the unknown, ready to embark on a new journey in the world of real estate, where I’ve established “calabash real estate”. It’s both exhilarating and nerve-wracking, but I’m confident that this change will lead me to a more fulfilling and rewarding career.
Keller Williams Portland Premiere: A Hub of Opportunity
One of the main reasons I’m excited about this transition is the incredible training and networking opportunities offered by Keller Williams Portland Premiere. With their extensive resources and supportive community, I’m confident that I’ll be able to thrive in this new industry.
Volunteering: Making a Difference in the Community
Aside from diving into the world of real estate, I also plan to increase my involvement with two organizations close to my heart: Ka ‘Aha Lāhui O’Olekona HCC (KALO) and The ReBuilding Center. These organizations are doing amazing work, and I’m eager to contribute more of my time and energy to support their missions.
While it’s a bit daunting to leave behind the security of a stable job and a comfortable salary, I believe that taking this leap of faith will allow me to make a real difference in people’s lives. By helping others achieve their dreams and create generational wealth through real estate, I hope to leave a lasting impact on both individuals and communities.
So, as I bid farewell to my old career and embrace this new adventure, I invite you to join me on this exciting journey. Stay tuned for updates as I navigate the world of real estate, learn from the best, and work towards creating a better future for myself and those around me.
